5 Powerful Mindset Shifts to Grow Your Business

mindset

Don’t just try harder. Work smarter…

It can’t all be down to just time and effort, because we all work hard, and even the most successful people on the planet are only limited to just 24 hours in any given day. Real success lies in your ability to accomplish more with less.

In the same 24-hour span, a billionaire successfully shot a rocket into orbit, while your Aunt Edna struggled all day just to set the clock on her microwave. Think about that for a moment.

Success requires us to become more efficient and innovative, and you must believe that there is greater opportunity and potential than what you see in front of you right now. Determine early-on, the type of help you need in order to realize that potential, and identify who can help you, and how.

As a professional, your obligation is to streamline the process so that you can help even more clients, and you can't do that if you're drowning in mundane tasks that lead you nowhere.

Be obsessed about the process, NOT the results:

In real estate, we tend to operate blindly for long periods of time before getting any real sense something may actually come together to produce a positive outcome.

And those positive results rarely show themselves until you’re well into an endeavour, and even then, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when the pieces will fall into place. We don’t have a crystal ball, but if you religiously follow a set process without fixating on the outcome and changing your strategy every two minutes, positive results have an exponentially greater chance of becoming reality.

Have faith in the process, and the results will follow. Obsess over the process, NOT the results. Once you've mastered your process, the results will take care of themselves.

Fail faster. Succeed sooner.

Failure in business isn’t fatal.

One bad decision doesn’t condemn you to eternal pain and suffering from the entrepreneurial gods. In fact, that failure will be much less damaging than you thought it would be, and way more valuable than you ever imagined it could be.

Failing where your competitors always cautiously walk on eggshells, gives you the experience and insight that they don’t have, and that can be priceless. It allows you to see the landscape differently, act courageously, and fast track your way to the level of experience you'll need to succeed in your area of expertise.

Every successful person that you see has failed many times long before you've even heard of them or their business. It's not a matter of whether you fail - it's a matter of whether you learned something valuable when you did.

Push yourself to dream one size bigger than you normally do.

Just think about it. If your thoughts and visions aren’t larger than your current situation, then your circumstances and outcomes will remain the same. You need to stretch your mind to a new level in order to achieve something greater than you have now.

Sure, you may stretch and fail, but you'll still out-shoot your default outcomes, and that’s progress! To be successful, you have to put yourself in places and situations that you would otherwise believe you have no right being in.

Only then will you grow to meet the challenge.

Commit to moving from good to GREAT!

Separate yourself from the masses. Good is everywhere, but great is often hard to come by.

Commit to excellence, do more than is required, and be the one that your clients can’t stop talking to their friends about. Elevating your game is about refining the small details and executing flawlessly, so that the client experience is smooth and seamless.

Provide services and solutions to your clients BEFORE they even knew that they needed them!

When you move from good to great, there is no more competition. You’re at a different level, and you’re no longer selling yourself at appointments. You’re consulting as a professional and you are now qualifying them!
